Frank "Paco" Besson's  father was from Grand Isle, and his mother was from Golden Meadow. After serving in the armed forces, Peco worked for Grand Isle Shipyard for 25 years. He got laid off in 1990, and worked for Dolphin Services out of Houma for 3-4 years. He and his wife own a souvenir and bait shop along the highway and he is currently active in local politics.
